Product Description:
For organizations that need to protect their important data from being damaged or altered, Sony introduces WORM recording technology. Unlike conventional, Continuous Composite Write-Once (CCW) technology - which relies on software to prevent data from being altered - Sonys permanent WORM technology physically changes the media as it records. Previously utilized only on large, 12 and 14 inch MO disks, the technology provides users with unalterable data storage and an archival disk life of up to 100 years. The new 5.25 inch, multifunction drives provide maximum flexibility, allowing users to read and write standard MO, CCW and permanent WORM disks.
