Product Description: The ADAM-4016/4017/4018/5013 analog input modules are now equipped with Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection. This enhancement improves field safety and shields the modules from Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) bursts of up to 1.0 KV. Electrical fast transients are common in industrial environments and can cause fatal consequences on data and I/O lines. Transient voltage suppression diodes provide the best solution for suppressing the transient energy and minimizing voltages. Equipped with this protection function, the ADAM-4016/4017/4018/5013 fully meets the IEC61131-2 EFT requirements for analog input modules.
