It combines the inherent data networking with proven asynchronous connectivity to deliver powerful yet simple wireless network connectivity for your EIA-232/422/485 serial devices. The Digi TS W offers universal, high-performance serial to wireless connectivity and is ideal for applications requiring COM ports, serial tunneling, or where TCP socket, UDP socket, or UDP multi-cast functionality is needed. RealPort technology makes it possible to establish a connection between the host and networked serial devices by creating a local COM or TTY port on the host computer, allowing software applications to work with networked device servers replacing the requirement for integrated serial host adapter cards. The Digi TS W also delivers powerful features such as data security via SSH v2, and Wired Equivalent-Privacy (WEP) supporting 64-bit and 128-bit encryption. Management is easy with read/write SNMP support for all configuration parameters plus full serial, Ethernet and wireless MIBS. The Digi TS W is easy to install with an auto-run wizard for UNIX and Microsoft. IP Address assignment is simple with the support for ADDP, RARP, DHCP and statically through a serial port.
