Unlike similar products from competitive manufacturers, the Perle Specialix SXDC/422DX Device Concentrator provides eight RS422 15kV ESD protected DB25 Female (DCE) ports that each support the full range of signal lines - RXD, TXD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, and RI. This unique feature means the SXDC8/422DX is the most flexible product on the market with the widest application. With the Perle Specialix SXDC/422DX, RS422 is applied in applications requiring long distances between the device concentrator and attached devices (for example, 4000ft when operating at 100 Kbps), and/or high immunity to electrical noise. Typical applications for this device concentrator include the connection of process monitoring equipment in a production environment, the connection of serial devices across a campus, or widespread POS applications where limitations of RS232 degrade the reliability of the network.
