The LP9002S features automatic speed negotiation capability, which allows complete compatibility with existing Fiber Channel SANs, and seamless upgrades to higher-speed SANs. The LP9002S provides the flexibility and broad interoperability needed for complex highly scalable SANs. The LP9002S provides a unique combination of features, including switched fabric support using F port and FL port connections, full-duplex data transfers, high data integrity features, support for all fiber channel topologies and support for service classes 2 and 3. The LP9002S also features sophisticated hardware that provides superior performance in storage area networks, delivering low latency and high throughput in switched, arbitrated loop and clustered environments. Support for fiber optic cabling is provided through a small form factor (LC) optical embedded interface. The LightPulse LP9002S is intended for Sun Enterprise Ultra servers ES3500, ES4500, ES5500, ES6500 and UE10K series.
