The Intel® PRO/100 S Server Adapter contains the Intel® 82550EY Fast Ethernet controller - integrated LAN silicon and encryption offload co-processor - whose smaller chipset design occupies one-quarter of the space and consumes one-quarter of the power of the earlier, separate, controller and co-processor.
